About Us
“Developing dynamic disciples for Christ, through relationships and adventure.”
Camp Piankatank was purchased by the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) in 1960, and had its first summer camp in 1961. We are located on the beautiful Piankatank River, in Middlesex County, VA. We started as a Royal Ambassador camp. Royal Ambassadors is a missions education program for boys. In 2001 Camp Piankatank changed focus to welcome both boys and girls from all backgrounds for an incredible Christian summer camp program. Summer camp continues to be the heart of our ministry. Throughout the rest of the year, we partner with non-profit organizations and churches to give them a location for amazing retreats and events.
We strive to show all of our campers and guests Christian hospitality and high adventure. We hope to have the opportunity to meet you soon on the shores of the Piankatank River!
