Winter Blast Youth Retreat

Winter Blast Camp takes advantage of the season both physically and spiritually creating a different feel from the summer camp. One camper told a staff member, “I have done summer camp a number of times. I was worried that winter camp was going to be busy. I am already busy with school, SATs and learning to drive so I didn’t want my weekend to be like summer camp. It wasn’t and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Piankatank in a different way.”  

The staff prayerfully select the theme, verses, games, activities and food for the weekend. A few brisk outdoor activities at the ropes course and target sports, a few new games are played, and yet it yields a totally different and exciting environment than summer camp, according to the campers.  

Winter camp breaks up the “winter” in our camper’s hearts, it refreshes their hearts and heads by being around other believers, it’s a break from school, it’s a different experience than summer camp, and it rekindles their love and desire to know God!

Date: February 14-16, 2025. (Keep in mind that February 17 is a holiday for most schools, for Presidents’ Day.)

Location: Camp Piankatank

Age: Youth 12-17

Check-in: Friday between 7:00-7:30 pm

Check-out: Closing ceremony for campers and parents is at 1:30 pm Sunday.

Price: $150 per camper (includes: two-night stay, five meals, lots of activities, and a small devotional)
